Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what information Letinix collects when you visit letinix.com, why we collect it, who processes it, how long it's kept, and the choices and rights you have.

Who we are

Letinix.com is an independent technology publication operated by Muhammad Azlaan Zubair, an individual based in Pakistan. For any privacy question or request, email hello@letinix.com.

Summary

Visit statistics without cookies: processed by Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful. Aggregated; no personal profile is built.

Analytics cookies and events, with your consent where required: processed by Google Analytics 4 to measure readership and improve the site. Kept for 2 months.

Advertising cookies and identifiers, according to your choices: processed by Google AdSense and its partners to show the ads that fund the site.

Your consent choices: stored by Google's consent tool until you change them or clear your browser data.

Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email address, a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to, the time and the page you signed up on) and the status of your subscription. Processed by Resend, our email provider, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Form protection: when you submit the newsletter form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a check to tell people from bots.

Free downloads: resource files are hosted on Google Drive. When you download one, Google processes your visit under its own privacy policy.

Paid resources: if we offer paid resources, they are sold through a third-party platform such as Gumroad, which handles payment and delivery under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Tools and search: what you type into a Letinix tool or into the site search stays in your browser. It is not sent to us.

Technical request data (such as IP address and browser information): processed by Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, and by Sanity, which delivers the site's images, as part of delivering pages and images.

Emails you send us: kept by our email provider as long as needed to reply.

Letinix has no accounts or comments. The newsletter signup is the only form on the site, and we don't collect information through any other form.

Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and similar statistics without cookies and without building a profile of you.

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how the site is used. Where the law requires consent, including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics only uses cookies after you agree; until then it runs in a limited, cookieless mode. Google estimates your approximate location from your IP address; Letinix does not see your IP address.

Besides page views, we send only a few interaction events: use of the share buttons, clicks on links to other sites (the destination domain only), changes of the light or dark theme, newsletter signups (which form was used, never the email address), which tool was used and whether a result was copied (the tool's name only, never what you entered), and clicks on a resource's download button (the resource's name only). We never send your email address, what you type into a tool or into search, or other information that identifies you. Analytics data is deleted after 2 months.

Advertising

Letinix shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance. Depending on where you are and what you choose, ads can be personalized, non-personalized or limited. Ads may also appear on our tools and resources pages, but never inside or beside a tool's inputs or results.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choices before ad cookies are used for personalization. You can change your choices at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

In US states with consumer privacy laws, you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising through the opt-out link Google shows to visitors in those states, or by emailing us.

Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Letinix newsletter, we collect your email address and record that you agreed to receive emails: the wording you agreed to, the time and the page you signed up on. We store this with Resend, the email service we use to send confirmation messages and newsletters. We use your email address only to send you Letinix emails; we don't sell it or share it with advertisers.

We use a confirmation email to check that the address is yours. Until you click the link in it, you are not subscribed and we will not send you newsletters. Addresses that are never confirmed are not emailed again, and we delete them from time to time.

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@letinix.com to unsubscribe or to have your address deleted. We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After you unsubscribe, we may keep a minimal record that you opted out, so we don't email you again.

To tell people from bots, the signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives technical information about your browser and connection while the check runs.

Resources and downloads

Free resources are hosted on Google Drive. When you choose to download one, you leave letinix.com and open a Google Drive page, where Google may collect technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, under its own privacy policy. We don't see who opens or downloads a file, and we only record that the download button was clicked (the resource's name, never anything about you). Downloading a resource doesn't add you to the newsletter; that is a separate signup.

If we offer paid resources, they are sold through a third-party platform such as Gumroad. When you buy, you leave letinix.com and go to that platform's page, which handles payment, tax, delivery of the file and receipts and collects the information it needs for that, such as your name, email address and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details. As the seller we may receive order information from the platform, such as your email address, the product and the date, and we use it to support your purchase and to meet legal and tax obligations. We don't add you to the newsletter unless you sign up for it separately.

Tools

Letinix tools run in your browser. What you type into a tool is processed on your device and is not sent to us, and we don't store it. We record only that a tool was used and whether a result was copied (the tool's name, not what you entered). Some tools show information that we have collected from public sources, such as prices, with the date it was checked.

The site search runs in your browser using an index of our pages. What you type is not sent to us or to analytics.

Emails you send us

When you email us, we use your message and address to reply and keep them only as long as needed for that purpose.

Hosting, images and security

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and processes technical request data, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver pages and block abuse. The newsletter signup is handled by a small function running on Cloudflare, which passes your email address to Resend; we don't keep a copy of it ourselves. Images are delivered from Sanity's content delivery network (cdn.sanity.io), which receives the same kind of technical data when your browser loads an image. The site's fonts are served from letinix.com itself.

Information stored on your device

We store your theme choice (light or dark) in your browser under the key letinix-theme. Google's consent tool stores your consent choices. Google Analytics and advertising partners may set cookies as described above. Cloudflare Turnstile may store a small token in your browser while it checks that you are not a bot.

We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, ad personalization and the newsletter. When you buy a resource, we rely on the contract with you, handled by the selling platform. We rely on our legitimate interests for security and aggregated, cookie-free statistics. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in every email. To use any of these rights, email hello@letinix.com. Much of the data described here is held by Google, Cloudflare, Resend and the selling platform; we will help you with requests that concern our use of their services. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our service providers (Cloudflare, Google, Sanity, Resend and any platform that sells our resources, such as Gumroad) may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own data processing terms and the safeguards the law requires.

Children

Letinix is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We date every version of this policy. If we make a material change, we'll note it at the top of this page.
